DANIEL CLOWES, born in Chicago, lives with his wife, Erika, and their pet snake in Berkeley, CA. His past work includes the ongoing comic book Eightball. This version of The Sleeping Beauty is based upon the original 17th-century telling by Charles Perrault. This year will see the release of a new graphic novel by Dan, David Boring, and in 2001, a movie based on his work, Ghost World, will come out.
